Pacquiao Won Over Hatton (KOed in 2)

May 3rd, 2009

This is another convincing victory for Manny, specially for the Thomases out there who think Manny’s victory over Diaz and Dela Hoya are pffft.

Ricky Hatton is the best fighter out there in his division. He was never beaten in that weight class and he boasts also of a power punch. He has strong  following among the Brits who came all the way to Vegas to celebrate. The power was indeed there, but Manny showed more class, speed and of course power.

Old School

July 19th, 2008

My schedule is beginning to normalize now.  I have adjusted to my new work assignment in terms of relationship with new peers and boss, distance from home, travel time and gasoline consumption (ouuch!) etc.

I guess it’s about time I also go back to my normal physical regimen. It’s been almost 2 months, since I filed my resignation from my first employer,  that I almost have no physical exercise. January 20th, 2008

Last night was a big night for my employer, together with company executives and senior managers, suppliers and tenants, and friendly competitors, the year long 50th Anniversary celebration commenced with a banquet, exhibit and musicale presentation about the life of the company’s founder . All the men are in formal black suit while the ladies wore elegant evening gowns (fotos and field report to follow).

With this, I have a quick stop at a barber shop to have my hair “trimmed”. And since by nature I already have thin hair and receding hairline, I told my barber “please, don’t put emphasis on what is already obvious” :-D . Several months back when I had my haircut, my attending barber discussed about hair transplant , since he has an advance problem on balding. Lucky me, mine is just a case of receding hairline, and when someone tease that my forehead is similar to Steven Seagull or Nicolas Cage, I take this as compliment. My attending barber/consultant said he did not pursue the transplant because the procedure is unclear and his queries were not addressed, not to mention the cost.
