Going Healthy

Have you wondered why so much herbal products are out in the market lately?

Well I do, and thanks to my effort to strike the balance between life and work, I made a small research on the matter. Perhaps because I know I am on my midlife already, I became health conscious, and my goal is to spend longer years with my kids.  Allow me to share my learnings.

How foods are produced

To meet the growing demand of a growing population with a diminishing natural resources, the organic and natural way of planting crops and producing farm (animal) products, the raising methods of cattle and fisheries, were enhanced or replaced by technology. Come to think of it, why chickens can lay more egg in shorter period of time? How come we have developed a bigger breed of crops, cattles and fish? Add to that, something has to be done to extend the shelf life of food products.

With these, doubts were created as to the completeness of the nutrients we are suppose to get from food, thus, the herbal or organic wellness and health products to meet this perceived or real need.
