Another Stress Management Tip

October 11th, 2008

Do not engage on activities, i.e. work, that you don’t like.

19 God gives some people the ability to enjoy the wealth and property he gives them, as well as the ability to accept their state in life and enjoy their work.20 They do not worry about how short life is, because God keeps them busy with what they love to do.

Ecclesiastes 5: 19-20

If we are engage in activities of our interest, we do not mind the expense, the hard work and hours spent. The passion in our heart will make it easy for us to recuperate from a stressful situation. Perhaps a good illustration to drive my point is the love for our children. We do not give up on them no matter  what they do or not do.

Nature Tripping

September 1st, 2008

Last weekend, wifey and I brought the kids to a not so near eco-park.

Kids of this generation, unless raised in a province, have little exposure on nature. With more malls being built, open parks are slowly becoming a thing of the past. Specially for urban dwellers.

We took this time to show kids the water shed where Metro Manila get it’s water supply. We also took time to look for spiders, catch  dragonflies and go fishing.

World Pulse Festival

August 17th, 2008

Update: 2008 World Pulse Festival videos is now available to be watched HERE

Toby Mac (not from World Pulse Festival)Made To Love

While writing this post, I’m listening to the music/ watching the video of the 2007 World Pulse Festival (WPF).

Earlier, I took an effort to connect with my son, so we both attended the evening service for the youth in our church just to watch the live feed of the 2008 edition of World Pulse Festival at South Bend Indiana. We went there because Toby Mac, our common fave, is one of the featured artists. We enjoyed the music but find the portion of the feed  too short. Therefore, to satisfy our longing for more live music, as soon as we got home, we googled the event to catch the feed. Unfortunately, the 2008 concert is not yet available for viewing.

What the heck is  WPF?

Old School

July 19th, 2008

My schedule is beginning to normalize now.  I have adjusted to my new work assignment in terms of relationship with new peers and boss, distance from home, travel time and gasoline consumption (ouuch!) etc.

I guess it’s about time I also go back to my normal physical regimen. It’s been almost 2 months, since I filed my resignation from my first employer,  that I almost have no physical exercise. Yeah I ensure I have some  cardio workout, but there is neither strength or weight exercise– yup ZERO. I’m a happy eater, thus, the excess calories I’m taking in should also be burned, otherwise, my tummy will get bigger and my cholesterol and triglyceride count will also shoot up.

Keeping Your Feet On The Ground

July 12th, 2008

Sorry guys, it’s been a week and I have not updated this blog yet.

Been busy lately with work and extra curricular activities. Since it was about ten years since I attended a theology class, I took advantage of the theology week at our church at Cathedral of Praise. For three nights in a row, we studied about “heaven”. Last night, on the other hand, we watched the youth musicale entitled “Bay Six Of Life”. It was all about campus life and the basics of Christian faith.

You may be asking why I take the extra effort to participate on church activities?

Magnificent

July 6th, 2008

People don’t seem to mind the higher cost of living brought about by the higher fuel prices. We dropped by at Robinson’s Midtown Mall at downtown Manila to treat the kids for a Tempura dinner.
