Allow me to share with you the teaching of Dr. David Sumrall of Cathedral of Praise on January 18, 2009. This is with the assumption that the Christian is a regular tither.
1. Commit to daiIy devotion
Job 8:13-18 13 Such is the destiny of all who forget God; so perishes the hope of the godless. 14 What he trusts in is fragile [a] ;what he relies on is a spider’s web. 15 He leans on his web, but it gives way; he clings to it, but it does not hold. 16 He is like a well-watered plant in the sunshine, spreading its shoots over the garden; 17 it entwines its roots around a pile of rocks and looks for a place among the stones. 18 But when it is torn from its spot, that place disowns it and says, ‘I never saw you.’
2. Commit to regular Church attendance and serve God
Neh 13:14- Remember me for this, O my God, and do not blot out what I have so faithfully done for the house of my God and its services.
3. Commit to hard work
Prov. 10:4- Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth.
4. Commit to a righteous life
Ps 92:12- The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;
Ps 58:9- Before your pots can feel the heat of the thorns— whether they be green or dry—the wicked will be swept away.

Last week, I got a call and email from strangers.
One head hunter who got hold of my contact details thru this blog sent an email and requested for a comprehensive copy of my CV. An executive requirement of another company fits my credentials, according to the sender. I declined the request with due respect to my present employer.
On the other hand, an officer of a company employing 1000 employees called and invited me to facilitate a Substance Abuse orientation for a fee. The guy Googled “drug abuse” and ended up in the Drug Abuse series of this blog. Though this is an earning opportunity, I also declined since activities are not intertwined and policies and procedures on the item is not yet in place.
