Last weekend, wifey and I brought the kids to a not so near eco-park.
Kids of this generation, unless raised in a province, have little exposure on nature. With more malls being built, open parks are slowly becoming a thing of the past. Specially for urban dwellers.
We took this time to show kids the water shed where Metro Manila get it’s water supply. We also took time to look for spiders, catch dragonflies and go fishing.
These are very common on construction sites. What about houses built on metal or metal buildings ? Some may find it weird but this is becoming a trend. The advantages outweighs the cons. Metals are fire proof, the pre-engineered ones are easier to build and saves the owner time and money. Add to the fact the publicity on conserving nature and saving trees, the need for logs were replaced by steel. Funny, by this time, the Philippines should be enjoying the summer heat. Thanks to the northeast moonsoon, we are still experiencing the chills in early mornings.
Though the idea of having tankless water heaters may not be appealing to Manileños, but with the crazy climate change and the increasing cost of LPG, having a water heater in a tropical country may yet be logical.
