Shooting Our Own Foot

The rebellion that was crushed yesterday is kinda frustrating and tiring. For a moment, though, I was anxious that blood will shed.

We have a buoyant economy which grew 6.6% on the third quarter and expecting more growth before the year ends. But as financial analysts have observed, “just when everything was looking good … we again shot ourselves in the foot”.

The political adventurism yesterday draw little, if no sympathy at all, from all sectors. No crowds came despite the call. But I think this is not the end of this. The plotters will continue to attempt to overthrow the Arroyo administration, unless the roots of rebellion is addressed. The Arroyo gov’t. should listen and take action.

Trillanes Strikes Again

6:31 PM: Media personnel who stayed inside the hotel were also arrested.

6:18 PM: Perpetrators of the mutiny now under gov’t. hands, have boarded the police bus that will take them for custody and questioning.

6:13 PM:

Former VP Guingona left the 2nd floor and now at the holding area. Bus that will take the suspects away readied.

5:45 PM:

Sen. Trillanes and company can’t leave the hotel yet as tear gas still hangs in the air.
