In relation to the post made by Carlo about the different types of bloggers, please allow me to re post an entry I made almost two years ago. The thought then may still be relevant today, be the judge:

As blogger and web 2.o enthusiast, I bumped into tons of information in the net, both junk and quality sites. But more often than not, junk sites are more visible and aggressive.
I find it amusing that groups and some individuals will make the extra effort to make their advocacy and products known by any means, even at the inconvenience of others. And spammers, no doubt, are extra active these days.
I think it’s also about time to create value adding sites, those that attempt to make a difference or attempt to build people and community. I don’t mean you got to have a religious site, because a value adding blog educates, helps to be self sustaining, promotes social responsibility, empowers and inspire.

I hope you will join on this advocacy. Remind yourself and others to create value. Blogging is fun, but blogging is better if we add value to the community. You can copy the badge or this button and use it in your site.
