@ Ray- Thanks for dropping by, indeed being debt free is one dimension of financial freedom. But debt if used wisely, can also create value.

@ Irish- Thanks for dropping by too, I agree with you, one way to gauge if you are financially free is when you are not worried about material needs anymore.

Financial Freedom is so subjective. One man might think he is free with 1000 Dollars, another with 100 Million. When you do not have to worry anymore – that is when you are free.

In my mind you are financially free when you are debt free and have the money to buy what you want by paying cash.
