to Sonnie thank you very much for your kind help.
every time i visit this page it reminds me of my childhood
seeing all those old pictures makes me teary eyed.

After I received the last comment, I emailed them both and so they can touch base directly. And from the last communication I received, it looks like the two families are now in touch with each other.

This is the 2nd instance  this blog became an instrument to connect families, the first one though is too private as it involves a father and son. The father is not aware he has a son from an old sweetheart. The son left  a private message after reading this blog and asked if I  know his dad. He also requested to pass his contact details, just in case . I do not know the father neither the son. It just happened that his dad is an employee of my former employer. I checked with a colleague if such an employee exist and when it turned out to be positive, we passed the message and let the dad handle his situation.  We are no longer privy of the next events, neither encouraged him to consider paternity test . But he admitted knowing the mother of the young man.

In my last post, I shared how we can use  social media to enhance our career, To further support my belief that social media is a neutral but powerful tool, the story above  just proved my point.  Web 2.0 is a tool that we can use to bring positive results. The power is there, just waiting for people to use it intelligently.
