Sibling rivalries can easily be prevented by parents exerting a conscious effort against favoritism and praising one child too much. Oftentimes bitter sibling rivalries are but a manifestation of childrens' desire to be loved and given attention to, thus, most of the time the most bitter ones are the ones who feel neglected and deprived. Manifestations of those love turn from favor and attention into inheritances and properties, or even to public recognition. By then it would probably have been already too late.
