Have you been to SM Mall of Asia lately? If you are a driving customer and regularly use their covered parking , I think you’ve noticed the red and green light on top of every slot. This is a Parking Sensor/ Indicator designed to help customers find an open slot without wasting time and fuel.

If you see a red light from a distance, that means a parking slot was already taken, and a green one means a space is up for grabs.
I find this innovation worth the value a parking customer pays for a flat rate of of P 40.00 (almost US $ 1.00) since this saves you the unnecessary stress looking for a vacant slot.
Am not sure though, if other high end or SM malls have similar service.
