Do you look forward to Christmas with eager anticipation or with gloom because of the economic crunch?
I believe we should keep the festive mood because the reason for the season, more than anything else, is about Christ. With his birth, there is always hope for a better tomorrow.
On the practical side, given the nature of gift giving this season, we should also be prudent when spending our savings and hard earned money for gifts. Scouting for stores on “sale” is not a bad idea. During financial crunch, goods are sold with minimal margins, and in extreme cases, retailers are even selling at break even cost.
Allow me to share also how entrepreneurs respond to the crisis with the forthcoming Christmas holidays.
Store owners and mall operators are sure to come out with marketing gimmicks to bring the customers to them. But because Christmas is the most tiring holiday (at least in our part of the world because of the malling culture and by having the longest Christmas celebration). But the strategy of this guy made his business a notch ahead of the competition.
The guy sure know how to keep his viewers warm in a rather gloomy economic situation. He made shopping not only convenient, but also cheap. Too bad, the free shipping offer is not applicable to international buyers.
