well, it’s hard nowadays… we should always be wary of the people around us and if you commute in a train or in a jeepney, you always have to suspect people beside you. we can’t even leave or belongings for a second and we sure know that we can’t really walk safely in the streets anymore…

Times are hard and will surely get worse in the coming months. I guess we just have to be vigilant and protect one another. More importantly though, we need to continue trusting each other and believe that despite all the bad things around us, it still pays to do the right thing.

I never feel unsafe and I don't worry about my physical safety. I do live in the country so perhaps that makes a difference and I'm grateful that I don't have to worry about crime where I live. Mountain Womans last blog post..Company

Well for me these are just isolated cases. At any point in history and anywhere in the world there is no such thing as being safe. It is always best to be watchful at all times.

I think I will have to say this – we are never safe, yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Violence has been here even before the time of Lapu-Lapu and I suppose that media plays a big role in hiding them or exposing them, or depending on what the President wants the country’s image to be.

I remember the former President Marcos even allowed the live news of the electrocution of a group of rapist. One can call me barbaric, but if I don’t care if this will be the best solution to warn these potential criminals.

Unfortunately, we Filipinos are very kind that is why we are being abused.

An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.
