Something Fishy
I have seen these several times, but because of the high prices of food, I’m keeping myself entertained with the visual merchandising of these sea/fresh water foods. Having variety of fish as food is one of the reasons I’m thankful of the Lord for the Philippines.

Last time we went to a market, Tilapia is now more expensive than GiGi. Tilapia costs P80/kilo ($1.8) while GiGi I think is more than a hundred bucks ($2.3)
It’s hard for me to eat them if I’ve seen them alive first.

Hi Natalie,
Fish are yummier when cooked after freshly catched. In the Philippines, we also have this delicacy called “kinilaw” or “kilawin”. This is a fresh & uncooked raw fish or squid in vinigar, onions with coconut milk. Best when freshly catched

These are “yummy to be” pictures. The price of fish is also spiraling upwards. There will come a time that the “GiGi”, the poor man’s fish would no longer be called that.
Thanks for sharing.
