Man Charged For Commenting In A Blog
A blogger was charged in Malaysia for sedition when he wrote an entry allegedly implicating their Deputy Prime Minister and his wife in the October 2006 gruesome killing of a Mongolian woman. A reader who find the entry interesting, and left a comment, was also charged. The blogger refused to post a bail believing he will be free before Christmas. It was not clear though, if the commenter was jailed or posted bail.
While it was common for a blogger to get sued, but a commenter? Well that’s news. I hope my readers will not get scared to speak their mind because of this incident
