Promoting Your Blog Offline

April 30, 2008 · by Sonnie · Blogging, Brand Management, Friends

Every serious blogger would like his blog to have regular stream of visitors. Even my 8 year old girl requests me to do something to lure more visitors on her site.

And there is only one way to achieve this, promotions.

Online, we have entrecard, different social networks, forums and e-groups where we can promote our blog. But have we tried promoting our blog offline? Offline promotions can give more exposure to a blog.

To learn offline promotion is to look at how brand managers, promo and ads guru’s of established companies do. They squeeze their brains out just to have an unparalleled promotional products , promotional items , and corporate gifts. Others will hire a consultant while still others will check sites like www.promopeddler.com for concepts.

Going back to our passion, how do we create brand recall to our blogs offline? Allow me to share some observations. Depending on tyour budget, you may want to try any.

  1. Business/calling cards.
  2. T-shirts
  3. A banner-sticker in your car
  4. Sun visors or caps
  5. Sports gear
  6. pens/pencils
  7. Memo/scratch pad
  8. Mouse and/or mouse pad
  9. Mugs and glasses
  10. USB holder/case
  11. article, commentaries or reaction to newspapers and magazine
  12. Personalized planner or notebooks.

Care to add some more on the list?
