Building your own love nest is a work in progress.

And when it comes to the interior design of our place, wifey is in charge. I submit to Mrs. Sonnie’s Porch on this matter since, IMO, part of a woman’s sense of security and happiness comes from having her very own nest. And based on her plan, we decided to redesign our kids room based on their future requirements as pre-teens. The redesign include the fixtures and Kids Bedding.

I heard more than once this quote from our Pastor and various guest speakers in church, a “happy wife = a happy life”. I guess they’re correct because in my experience, life is pleasant when wifey is happy and pleased. And if women’s security and happiness partly come from having her own permanent nest, for men it’s the sense of being useful. That includes having a stable source of income and able to provide the financial requirements of the family [but hey, this is not the only role of men]. Take away this responsibility from a man, and you’ll strip him of his sense of confidence to lead as husband and father. This is partly the reason, I think, why we have bums. This is also the reason why some men find it hard to accept if his girl or wife is more successful or earning more than him. The feeling is worse if the wife is the sole breadwinner and the man ended up as “houseband”.

I don’t know, I may be wrong but men are wired differently than women. Men and women thinks and feels differently on certain issues. But as for me, I listen to husbands who have been married for a long time and still is a happy married man to one woman [not at a time]. They sure know how to keep their marriage vow before God to the wife of his youth.

Behind the rise and fall of man, are women. And making our woman happy and pleased in the biblical sense will cause them to submit and follow us as her leader, and will be on your side even at the lowest point of your life. She’ll continue to believe and even spur you to continue and not give up.
