
On November last year, I began jogging 2-3 KM along stretch of Baywalk. This is a precautionary measure, to control bad fats, triglycerides and cholesterol. The following month, when a fitness club opened at One E-Com Center, SM Mall Of Asia, I took advantage of the special promo and began exercising in the gym. I have been engaged in aerobic and anabolic exercise since then.
Prior to enrollment, a colleague asked if it is better to use precor elliptical or any aerobic exercise machine than actual running or cycling and if free weights is better than weightlifting machines? In my opinion both can achieve a desired result. What matters is discipline and consistency.
After 4 months, what did I achieve?Unfortunately, I did not lose weight, but the fats were replaced by mass and the tummy became less obvious. I will schedule for a complete medical check-up soon to find out if the physical activity sans medication improved my cholesterol count. My goal is not to have a lean figure, but to be healthy.
