Apologies for the downtime, slow and/or error in connection. A bad script is on the loose under the hood.

This blog caused a big spike on the server of my host & co-sponsor of this blog, prompting them to quarantine this site for a while. We are still observing whether someone is hacking this site or one or more plugins have gone nuts. While we are trying to address the issue, you may notice changes on the theme, sidebar, errors and functionality problems. We have turned off most plugins/widgets until we are certain of the cause. We’ll get them back one at a time when safe and necessarry. Any advise/help you can give is appreciated.
