The rebellion that was crushed yesterday is kinda frustrating and tiring. For a moment, though, I was anxious that blood will shed.
We have a buoyant economy which grew 6.6% on the third quarter and expecting more growth before the year ends. But as financial analysts have observed, “just when everything was looking good … we again shot ourselves in the foot”.
The political adventurism yesterday draw little, if no sympathy at all, from all sectors. No crowds came despite the call. But I think this is not the end of this. The plotters will continue to attempt to overthrow the Arroyo administration, unless the roots of rebellion is addressed. The Arroyo gov’t. should listen and take action.
While I admire the guts and conviction of Sen. Antonio Trillanes, I also feel sorry for him because he was left hanging by the other plotters. The puppet masters remained at the backstage protecting their butts until they are dead sure of the victory.
I equally admire the “balls” of the police and military, they handled the case with resolved therefore, ending the standoff earlier.
However, I find the arrest and hand cuffing of journalists and the imposition of curfew excessive.
To think that the whole matter is not orchestrated is naive because jeepney loads of crowd from Tondo was intercepted. They were paid to go to Makati and they thought they will just attend a burial. A web site sympathetic to Magdalo was also launched on the same day.
I am still reflecting to find any value adding effect of this event to the nation. Can you find one?

How can you still support the demon queen even while she is turning this country into hell on earth?
The lack of support to the actions of Trillanes et. al, does not necessarily mean unequivocal support to the other side.
Although the Filipino people are discontented because of the many of the bad things going on right now in the government, they are already tired of these “uprisings” by people like Trillianes. We walked the path of political activism many time through Edsa one and two and it made little difference. The people are not dumb and got a clue.
The main concern of the Filipino right now is not changing the Philippines and the world but making a living, feeding their families and surviving.
@ Nano– and adventurism like this will not help them in any way
