Please share with my joy as I play with my new toy. I received this gadget the other day as our company renewed with Globe Telecom our subscription for the next 2 years.

The phone is stylish and elegant, loaded with common smartphone features, instant messaging, video and audio player and 1.3 MP Camera (but no video), 64 MB built-in memory and expandable via micro SD card. EDGE and Bluetooth connectivity.

This free phone is value adding considering the package or plan our company availed for its Managers and Executives.

However, I still find the internet charging of Globe non competitive since it still maintain a per kb charging unlike Smart Communications which offers roughly $ 0.23 (P10.00) per 30 mins. use of it’s internet.

   @ Reyville- i-phone is not bad, we should pick our gadgets that not only suites our personality, but our requirements as well.

   @ Dimaks- the latest version, 8130, has 2 MP and video capability as well. But am happy na specially with it’s elegant design and the smartphone features suite my needs.

   sir, i have also that pearl, bigay din ng company ko, smart ang provider nmin, yes wala xa video capability ksi 8100 xa, if 8110 meron na, PIN 25079F63 that’s my PIN BB msgr na heheh….san ka nag iinternet? sa browser lang? naka YM din ako ikaw meron ba?

   Hi, am browsing using the BB browser, but seldom. Globe’s EDGE/GPRS is expensive compared to Smart

   so did u mean that, wen i browse using bb browser since my provider is smart it is so cheap? 10 pesos per 30mins? it is true?

   hi.
   my sister gave me a blackberry pearl 8130 but with no sim slot. can i use it here in the pinas? can it still be converted to gsm? have you know a shop that can convert/reconfigure it?

   Hi Jose,

   If it’s not sim/phone lock, you can use it immediately. Otherwise, you need to go to a high end phone/computer shop for it to be reconfigured. Globe is the one carrying that blackberry model. You may want to approach them also.

    hi!, ask ko lng po if may alam kau repair shop for blackberry pearl 8100? kasi pag ininsert q na ung battery, “reset, error 365″ ang lumalabas sa lcd ng phone q. hoping for your kind help, ty
