I was delighted when I learned my staffs prepared something for my birthday. I was on leave for 2 days to quietly let go of my birthday. But friends at the office have other things in mind. And I got surprised when I returned for work!

I received a shirt, a chocolate cake, a book entitled, “the art of war” and the artwork (photo above) as gifts from my staffs. A colleague, on the other hand, baked a special cake and my boss gave a light holder.

I find this a value adding experience since I’m not the type who makes a big deal out of my birthday. An ordinary day became special because of the warmth and thoughts of fellow workers.
