With the death of Bay Walk, all eyes are glued for the opening of San Miguel by the Bay (SMBB), formerly known as Sun Set Strip, or Promenade, or Esplanade. The 1,500 m. strip along the shores of Manila Bay, at SM Mall Of Asia. This is but one of the new attractions that adds value to our malling experience. Soon to open too this month at Mall Of Asia, is SMX or The SM Convention Center.
This new gig destination is home to 15 establishments, complete with parking area, park, food and beverages, and entertainment sites. Safety and health of customers were considered, thus, the shoreline was reconstructed for proper drainage and waste disposal, comfort rooms with running water. SMBB is tentatively set to open on November 25, 2007. Pictures and other updates to follow .
Update (11/08/07): Here are some of the pics, though, still under construction
Saw this in my visit last week and was wondering what it was. I was suspecting it to be the Bay Walk transplant… this confirms my suspicions

You’re welcome Lace.
bakit nga pala San Miguel By The Bay?…
It will be a complete replica of baywalk if the fountain from rajah solaiman park and the giant flagpole in Baywalk will be transferred there lol…
@ Buding– San Miguel Corporation is a sponsor
@ DNX-Man– there was also a huge fountain, but not the exact replica of the one at Rajan Suliman

There are a lot of things to do here now: bungee fun, picture-taking with human statues, playing basketball arcade, trying out the zipline, riding what appears to be a zorb (large balloons that move afloat a small pool) and also the bump cars.
