Filipino Environmentalist
This news will add value to our race, a timely break from the political circus we are facing. Time Magazine featured a Filipino environmentalist, Sir Von Hernandez, for his advocacy in the Philippines and South East Asia.
Von Hernandez is a former literature professor from the Philippines. With no one else seems to be concerned, he took it upon himself to create a noise to protect his environment.
In 1999 his relentless campaigning succeeded in making the Philippines the first nation in the world to ban waste incineration. Von has since advanced his advocacy to other parts of the region.
