		<description>There are some cultures who value work more than they value their personal lives.  Take for Japan for instance.  

My first employer after I graduated was one such company.    To my previous employers, the only valid reasons for leaves are emergency leaves and sick leaves.  Personal leaves for activities such as spending time with one&#039;s family rarely, if ever get approved.

It is also in that company where I learned of the word, KAROUSHI, or death from overwork.  (Yeah, it&#039;s a real word which you can look up in a Japanese dictionary.)

Oh well...  good thing I&#039;m out of that place.</description>

		<description>I can&#039;t imagine myself working to death. Who would want to anyway? One more thing that I would like to add though is that the supervisors of these people shouldn&#039;t put too much pressure on their employees and force them to do overtime :) Well, that&#039;s just my point of view.</description>
