PBA 2007– A Milestone For Filipino Bloggers

Activities like this, in my opinion, will take blogging to the next level, but stakeholders must keep the upward momentum and the suggestion of Dave is worth looking at.
Likewise, the efforts of these people deserves a pat on the back rather than criticism. Of course, there’s a lot of room for improvement.
As I shared with Abe, in the future, I hope the gov’t, academe and the business community will recognize blogging as a potent medium to advance advocacy, education, brand management and marketing.
Having met the people behind notable blogs like Codamon, Waukster, Jozzua, Bikoy, Magandang Balita, Message Sending Failed and Noypi. Nuggets of lesson can be drawn based on the bloggers experiences, and definitely, worth emulating.
By the way, I also met the pretty lady behind The Parody, and together with another pretty blogger, Aileen, have done a good job emceeing and entertaining the bloggers. I exchanged hello’s with Ajay at the awards night, though, I thought I could still chat with her at the party.

[…] There was Lori of DessertComesFirst - I wanted to kiss her feet! I love her blog so much and really wish I could do what she does. I also got to meet the man behind MarketManila who was accompanied by his wife and darling daughter. And the very makulit Markku whose Photoalbum publisher I really really love and wish I used. I finally met Girlie who was looking forever young and vibrant. I still cant believe she has two kids already! I also got to write the name tags for Sonnie of Sonnie’s Porch. I got to say good afternoon to the famous sassy lawyer, Connie Veneracion. And ohmigosh Tew was there! I love her designs… she is soo talented (just like my friends Joni, Mae and Liz!) Finally, when we were just about to pack up the booth to go into the theatre… this tall lanky madeup fashionista in very high heels (higher than my own white stilettos) wearing an all black ensemble with a matching fur stole accompanied by a uniformed nanny approached the table and looked at me waiting… I said - Bryanboy! I almost said I adore you (hehe just kidding). […]
It looks like you guys had so much fun! I really wanted to go. But it was just physically impossible for me to get there from Batangas City in time. Sigh!
Hey man! It was nice meeting you. Btw, I totally agree with you in using blogs as a medium for marketing and information for Brand Management. I’ve been using my blog to get feedback from our customers and they play a big role in the decision making process for our projects. The blog also gives a very human face for the company.
Anyway, maybe we can come up with a corporate blogging network? Let’s talk at the iBLOG3 if we bump into each other there.
Cheers!
p.s. You might want to check out the blog of Kris Ablan who is running for Board Member in the 1st District of Ilocos Norte. His goal is to get his photo taken in front of all the SM malls.

Thanks for the link love. I envy you guys coz you were able to attend the awards night! Have a good week!
Thank you for the mention and the link.
Next year, I’ll make sure that I am there in the P.I. to attend this event.
But constructive criticisms are welcome. We learn from them. I like that you linked the buzz behind the event.
@ Myepinoy– No problem.. anticipating your return to PI soon.
@ Noime– Everyone gave their share and best effort for this event. And this was offered to bloggers for FREE, unless otherwise, I missed something.
IMO, though am not a volunteer, \”harsh\” criticism to any of the organizers and volunteers, in exchange for the good intentions at least to me, is inappropriate.
Hi Sonny. Yes, hope to talk to you more next time. Btw, did you provide the free tickets to SM Cinemas?hehe
Yes, I have gave 10 Movie Cards and 5 Pads of discount coupons from Bowling as well. For the benefit of the bloggers.
[…] I don’t only mean the endurance and strength to handle additional workload, but also the strength of character to resist corruption. The greatest battle is not with the opponent, but with oneself. Our level of success is dependent on our ability to resist and withstand pressures that goes with power and wealth. The prayer during PBA 2007, perhaps represent the pressure bloggers face. And at some point, you have also seen some relationships, families and organizations break apart because of the corruption of power and wealth. […]
[…] was my first meet-up with fellow bloggers after the Philippine Blog Awards and iBlog 3. Good to see again old e-buddies like Juned, Sasha, Analyn, Noime, Jayvee and meet new […]
