Manila has one of the most vibrant night scenes in Asia with an overwhelming party scene. Most travellers to Manila find themselves surprised by the quality of the party scene here. We have one the best music, the classiest and easygoing crowd that is highly literate, well travelled, cultured. You may not know it Sonnie but we have a very good pulsating party crowd right here. Makati is Ground Zero for the party crowd, but are evenly spread out to pockets of parties found in the Fort, Malate, Eastwood, Ortigas and Quezon City. Usually if you are in the loop, private house parties abound EVERY week. Manila is rockin’ baby!

im an OFW and have been away from home in a while, but last december I went home for vacation. i went to baywalk with friends and i was totally surprised on how the area have changed after all those years that i was away. i went partying with friends and geez..i knew i missed a lot of things, Manila is truly unique. MOA is also a marvel.

that’s good news. I hope that we can maintain or improve that position for the rest of the year.

Guys, I think Yahoo! Travel is missing a lot. Metro Manila is not the Philippines — especially when you talk about beaches :). Cebu City is what comes to mind when I hear about night life *and* beaches. Mactan Island is about an hour’s drive from the city. And I’d daresay that Metro Cebu’s night life exceeds Metro Manila’s. I was there in 1999 and 2000 (on biz), and after hard days’ work, we’d go out to unwind. Kids were coming into the bars at 2:00 in the morning!

For those looking for more laid-back destinations, there’s Baguio and, further up north, Sagada, for supreme nature tripping. Closer to Manila are Pagsanjan Falls, and the hiking trails in Mt Banahaw, and even closer are towns in Eastern Rizal (Pililia, Teresa, Baras, etc.)

Those are but great news for your country !!!!now that it has been rated as the 5th preferred destination in the world! I know that you as a country you will receive many tourists and thus foreign currency which will boost your economy. What i didn’t understand, is what kind of night life are they talking about? Can someone unconfuse me?!!

Hi Margaret,

Manila is a vibrant city. Nightlife differs from the need of people. Some would love to go for quiet and romantic dinner, others would want to rock and party and still others would want to relax in a spa.
