If I am not mistaken, professional blogging is still a sunrise career or industry in the Philippines. I learned from the gurus that bloggers can earn thru ads and/or by being paid to write. Am not sure if the practice here is close to what is being done outside.
Indeed, the integrity of the blogger (and the blog) may be affected if the blogger will not disclose that s/he is being paid to write.

[...] The blogosphere is filled with thoughts on this issue, and the controversy, in my opinion, is boiled down to profit and integrity of blogs. [...]
I believe in integrity! That is doing that which is right at the right time and for the right purpose. It all about doing what is right even when no one is watching or monitoring you.It is a prize which we should pay for holding on to what we believe is right; even before our God.It gives us that inner assuarance and satisfaction to know that one is honest all the times and that nothing can make him/her compromise his integrity. May God help me not to trade my integrity whether with money or wealth which the people of the world can give to me inorder that i may “play a fair game with them .”Two wrongs can never make a right so watch out people!.
