Loading ...I don’t understand why there are gold plated jerks all over. I really can’t…
We are supposedly in a middle class condo/ residential area, but for the life of me, this is the nth time my car was scratched.
- 1st a screw was placed in one of my tires.
- After I have it vulcanized and used my spare tire, the incident was repeated again. The culprit placed another screw on the same place and damaged the (new) spare tire.
- On another instance, I noticed a long scratch on the driver door.
- Now it’s a loooong deeep scratch from the driver door to the back seat door.
The reason I bought the 2006 KIA Rio model is that people will leave me alone since KIA has a low resale value in the Philippines. But it seems my plan back fired. Having a not so common car on the road, trendy and at par with VIOS 1.3 E.
I am assuming that I got the ire of some people. Or some people just don’t have anything productive to do but to destroy other peoples property and inconvenience others. We do not have enemies in the community.
The scratch is deep and a bit obvious. To repaint it would mean being car less for at least 2 weeks. Plus the inconvenience of having it approved by the insurance company (if possible). Not to mention the cost.
This is not funny and am still trying to maintain composure and am controlling my anger before I talk this out to with our security and admin.
I If anyone of you have been into similar predicament, please let me know how you have handled the insurance claim and if I can make the admin and security liable. Or if ever you have catch the culprit– how and what you did after that.
Am sharing this to seek your inputs and likewise to pick some gems from this unfortunate experience– do let me know please. At this moment am so mad to learn anything.

Sorry to hear about your car.
I feel your pain. We work so hard to save money to buy a car, then some lower form of life who has nothing better to do comes along and vandalizes it.
A similar incident happened to me a couple of years ago. Some kids threw a small piece of hollow block from the abandoned construction site near opposite the meralco building in Ortigas. The hollow block shattered as it hit the ground and pieces of it hit my hood.
I had no trouble claiming from my insurance. Sanay na ata yung mga insurance companies sa ganyang klasing vandals. Have an affidavit made.
By the way, before you make your claim, try to get a quotation from a good painter. It might turn out to be cheaper than the participation fee of the insurance.

Thank you for sharing with my pain. Every time I see the scratch, I can’t help but feel angry. My wife tells me to let go… But how can I? At least at this moment, I can’t let go yet..

By the way, about the scratch — can you feel the scratch with your fingernails?
If you can\’t then you don\’t need to bring it to a paintshop. Just get a good scratch remover. You\’ll be surprised.
If you CAN feel it with your fingernails, then you may still be able to reduce the scratch to a point where only you will know its there. You\’ll need to use a scratch remove to smoothen or round out the edges of the scratch.
But of course, if you can already see the primer, then you really have no choice but to have the portion repainted DIY or by a painter.

The best way to tackle this situation is just forget and forgive. The things that are kept unguarded will be victim of such acts . It is difficult to change the destructive attitude of people. The same thing happend with my car. I felt very bad about it . If we complain to any one we are criticized . Moreover, in India we have no insurance claim for this . So I thought the right way is to live with these scratches.

Here is what you need to claim for insurance:
1. Police Report
2. Original pictures showing the damaged part and showing the plate #
3. Photocopy of OR / CR
4. Photocopy of Driver’s License and OR of License
5. Copy of repair estimate from accredited shops.

It happens talaga sir… pero if it happens again, magwala na talaga kayo.. make the security persons liable for the damage. Or like they should be punished for not being able to do their task or looking after.protecting the Item/s.
magiwan po kayo ng pagkain sa ibabaw ng hood ng kotse nyo bago kayo pumasok sa opis. pwedeng from jollibee or mcdo.pag nakita nung culprit yun, kahit hindi man sya yung makinabang or makakain nun, maiisip nya na…maawain naman pala to, hindi ko na sya gagawan ng masama.
kung hindi naman po pagkain ang maging solusyon, downplay your dress? maging underdressed kayo. find ways to show to whoever that stalker is…kasi im sure they are stalking you also..find ways to show them that you are not so much different from them. and that you care also for their situation. kasi po, yung mga yan ang pinakamadaling i psyche para sa kin. pag nakita nila na may concern kayo sa mga mahihirap at willing kayong mag go down sa level nila, at hindi kayo so much up there , at you feel you are like them also… your probs with them will be lessened. i don’t know how you will show them those things but in your own unique ways po, make them feel that. they are watching you closely, i am sure. tho you dont see them, they see you. yo dont need to be afraid of them. just show them that they dont need to be so angry and envioud of you.
