BlogCon 2006

September 26, 2006 · by Sonnie · Ask Sonnie, Blogging

Yup! I attended the 1st BlogCon as planned. My objectives for participating are as follows:

  • (/) personally thank Angelo for the free domain (.com.ph) and Abe for the subsidized hosting.
  • (x) meet Jun Asis of MabutingBalita.net
  • (/) learn from the “gurus” of Philippine Blogosphere. All the presentations were good but I appreciate the one of Marc
  • (/) validate the demography of Pinoy bloggers as presented.
  • (x) socialize with other bloggers
  • (x) convince myself to monetizing my blog
  • (/) great food
  • (x) personally give feedback to Globe Innove reps of my experiences with their “Speak and Surf”

I hope future gatherings will remain informal but at the same time provide a two way learning approach so bloggers can add value to each other.

  1. Hey, nice meeting you in person. Mr. Mabuting Balita was there, was able to talk to him. And yes, they sponsors said this won’t be the last time for such events. Hoping to accomodate more bloggers in the next one.

  2. @ Abe

Keep up the good work man! You’re one of the icons of Philiipine blogosphere.

    @ Jun

Sayang di tayo nag meet I need to go na. For sure there will be great opportunities in the future. BTW I added you in my link list. I am also wondering why your comment suddenly disappeared in my blog.. perhaps its the migration of our blog from one server to another

  3. Very useful and informative blog. Recommended for all to see.
